I spend most of my time reading the biographies of artists rather then examining their work. I suppose that if I can find so many similarities of their life in comparison to mine, that perhaps I'll discover what I am to do in this life. So far, my life hasn't exactly been particularly exciting or prosperous. I wonder if they experienced so many lazy days as I do. Maybe. Perhaps they didn't indulge in the same lazy day activities. I watch films and television all day. They probably read a book or took strolls or something. Maybe I find biographies interesting because it's like watching a movie for me. What I read transforms the black and white photos into streaming images of their exploits. The photos almost always shows the artist holding a cigarette in one hand whilst the other rests lightly on their knee. Perhaps I should smoke more often.

The doctor gave me new medicine today. Yayyy...

So I should really update sometime. I have a lot on my mind. But I am super tired right now. I worked both my jobs today. I have an interview on Monday too. I thought I was gonna get fired at my newly acquired job but my boss said he was impressed. Hmm. I'll finish later. I won't promise that I'll remember but if I do remember then I promise.

Sooooo as far as everything looks...I'M MOVING THE FUCK OUT!

That's right. With 3 co-workers/friends to a townhouse really close to Louisville in Clarksville off the interstate. I have a few pictures I'm just too lazy to put them up. I will probably when everything is set up. I hope it'll be awesome. I hope we won't get on each others nerves, haha! There are some crazy people at complexes though that seem to like to yell and curse into their cell phones. I hope they stay away from me.

Oh yeah, I also got a puppy. I'm gonna keep him if we get the used carpet which makes the deposit $150 with no monthly fee. His name is Gio so far.

Watch this. It's the latest from Lady Gaga. It's hot as usual. My friend and future roomie agrees that it's totally dirty...

If you haven't seen this movie, then I suggest you do yourself a favor and watch it. Better yet, buy it. I saw it while I was in Memphis and it was good, then it was better as I thought about it, now it's amazing and I can't stop thinking about it. It's like marinating meat. It get's better and better the longer you let it soak.

Oh, yeah. And I got a second interview and was told to wait for a call. If I don't get that call, I have the interviewer's email and I can, consequently, either beg for a different position or she'll just force them to hire me. Because the interviewers said B and I looked adorable. And we did. We looked great. And we were the youngest in the room. And that's what they want. We also met this really chatty cool woman in line who talked us up a lot and we gave her our phone numbers and she has ours. She called me and left a Happy Valentine's day voicemail. I couldn't answer though cause my phone was then lost in B's car. Okay, well that's all.

You're drunk! You're sexy!

Okay. I haven't wrote on here in a while.

So just a short update: I've withdrawn from school. That's the major news.

The second major news is that I'm going to Tennessee on the 11th to attend a conference on the 12th for an out of state job. I'll let everyone (like anyone reads this!) know how that goes afterward. Expect me to be really depressed and pissy if I don't get it.

That's pretty much all right now. I scratched up my glasses bad and cut my stupid bangs again. GRRR! I've been watching a lot of Sofia Coppola's films Lost in Translation and Marie Antoinette with a little Virgin Suicides thrown in there. K, I'm going to go eat mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and pork chops. Yum for home cooked meals.

LATER!!!

P.S. I want to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

She's so cute and has such a great voice. I think I need to find that album she has with some guy. Him&Her or She&Him. Something like that. I can't wait to see Yes, Man! Cause I adore Zooey.

VIDEO DELETED :( It was a video of SNL's First Person in the World to Dance

And, yes, that's kind of how I dance. lol. Just kidding. I don't dance at all. I'm too busy being frigid.

And now it's time for 'Guess the crotch(es)'!

Not the person on the far, far right. I have no idea who that is. Go on, then. Take a stab.

EDIT: I rewrote this for a class and someone wanted me to incorporate my stories into the plot so I will try. I moved this up so that I could have it at my disposal more easily.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to write a little about my Waverly Hills tour. Look for it to be very long winded. I tend to want to divulge everything when entering this territory of writing. I warned you I love writing though! I haven't wrote anything journalistic over history since the Messamore ordeal. I rather like historical journalism. It's interesting in sense that it's mysterious. We'll never know. Well, now I'm glad I recorded the whole tour! Even if I hadn't though, like the dork I am, I'd read up on the whole thing so I didn't learn much about the history I didn't already know but our tour guide told us some interesting tidbits of ghostly observations. Also I'm sorry that some of the photos are kind of crooked. It was very dark and hard to aim straight. I went with my cousin and two of her friends a few weeks back or so. It was at 8:00 in the evening. Also, after I had written about five paragraphs of this, my computer decided to be a fucktard and erase like 2 fucking paragraphs. Not happy about it...

Waverly Hills story/photo )

Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease and was also known as 'consumption' or the 'white plague’; it also attacked many different areas of the body. The main area of infection was the lung which is known as 'pulmonary tuberculosis'. However, it is a common misconception that this was the only area the bacteria attacked. Tuberculosis could attack the skin, bones and joints, the reproductive organs, and/or the tissues covering the brain and spinal cord. These additional areas of infection are known as 'extrapulmonary tuberculosis'. Since tuberculosis spread by the inhalation of the germ tubercle bacillus, the staff had to remain on the grounds of the hospital which is why extra housing was built specially for the doctors and nurses. The patients had to remain in the hospital away from civilization. However, visitors were allowed to the hospital, of course.

Unfortunately, there was no cure for tuberculosis back then. There were no sure treatments or antibiotics to help treat the disease. So, relying on natural remedies, the patients had to count on fresh

air, plenty of protein (to help build up the immune system), sunlight, and relaxation. Our tour guide reveals that the patients had to stay out on the 'solarium' for a minimum of 13 hours a day. The 'solarium' is merely a fancy word for a sun deck of sorts. A very large sun deck that is. When they were not out on the deck, they stayed in semi large rooms with two pairs of doors which made it easy to roll the patient's bed out onto the deck. The rooms were doubles, by the way; that's why there were two sets of doors. Here is a photo I took of one of the rooms:

*********************************************************

On the second or third floor, our tour guide stopped us next to an old rickety pair of elevator doors. She began talking about a few things on the floor, just basic history that I've already mentioned and told us that we might see some balls and toys laying around and that was because people who do extensive paranormal investigations and take overnight tours being that so that they can play with the spirit children. We later saw a red ball. Anyways, next to the elevator was a small L shaped room (according to my cousin, I said, "Hell no, I'm not going in there") where a man once wondered into while she was talking. "We can't keep track of everyone all the time," she said. So, anyways, this guy wonders in there and no one notices for a minute or two. Then he starts screaming and runs out of the room, knocking into people and stumbling about. His little party of people manage to grab him and calm him down. They ask him what the hell he was doing and he said he saw an apparition in the room. He said at first it was just a man's back, and he turned to walk out, and as he turned to look again the man whipped around super fast and he said it looked as though he had no eyes. So, it freaked him the fuck out and I'm overly paranoid and overly imaginative as you would guess and it freaks me out to even write this and listen to my recorder so you better be thankful if that stuff is interesting to you...weirdo. J/K.

Another thing is that when the new owners purchased the building, there happened to be a homeless man living in one of the elevator shafts. He had a white dog that stayed with him and he refused to talk to anyone (one of the guards found him). And anyways, they eventually found him dead in his little elevator and sometimes people see a white dog roaming round or an outline of a man.

The last one I'll spit out is the story of the vandalism buddies. (Btw, our tour guide was so lovely to take us to the exact spots and freak us out, gee thanks. lol. J/K once again) So, these guys broke into the hospital and a guard heard them on the second or third door, pounding and screaming against some doors. When he found them they didn't run, like most would, but instead were relieved to see him. They were saying, "Thank God you're here. They won't let us out!" The guard looks around the landing and opens the door with ease and says, "What people?" For clarification, the boys had an ax with them that they had used to get in the building and there were huge gashes in the door (which I did see, no picture though. I totally would've though.) and obviously the door had to have been closed tight to allow those gashes as deep as they were but the guard opened it with no difficulty at all.

It freaks me out to have these stories here because I can see the man with no eyes when I think about it. I think I'm slightly schizophrenic because of my paranoia, sometimes I'm scared to open my eyes. :( Oh dear, oh dear. Don't be too surprised if these last three paragraphs come up missing. lol

Also, not really sure why the text always ends up fucked :(

Anyways...

Harry's dark side
Well, I've enrolled for next semester. It may be my last semester so I picked classes that I wanted to take. Hopefully, once I start taking them, they really are what I want to take. They're what I think I want to take. Let's just say that. It's a Fiction class, a psychology class over personality, a computer graphics and animations class and a photography class with a fixation on Photoshop. I don't want to be presumptuous but I like Photoshop. My friend, Trish: [info]reality_free, taught me how to use several different functions on it and I hope that I'm not being presumptuous and the teacher ends up making me do all sorts of weird things that I will never remember. It's a three hour class anyway. It's at night so I'll be awake at least. I haven't heard from Trish in a  long, long time. Where are you Trish?

I'm crashing today. I had about four hours or less sleep last night. I was gonna save my energy and sleep in a bit for my Philosophy exam but I really wanted to go to my Creative Writing class and we had to have groups assigned today so I kind of had to as well. I took my Philosophy test. I probably failed. Someone hit me with a door today but I always stick my foot out in front of me, subconsciously, so it really just hit my toe, but that still means it hit me and I was very angry and I punched her. Not really, I was tired and like, "'S all cool, my babies."

Yeah, I watched Conan last night. Not very unusual though is it? They should make him do shows on the weekends. He makes me laugh and stuff. The Office is on tonight. WoOoOoO. I'm too weak to be excited, even in text.

I'm on a break for another half and hour. I suppose I'll look up pictures of Paul Banks and chew my gum and wait around. I bet I failed my English exam that was due today too. And I swear I tried.

This is all. Cheers.

Ah. Back to my old layout. Oldie but goodie.

I wrote a story from, like, 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. I couldn't put my pen down. I watched this video where this guy had taken photos of a guy found dead on the beach (suicide) and he had this music set to it (which I now have) and it was just...amazing. It had a bunch of stuff about, "You're not alone, blah blah," before and after (I'm not mocking, I'm just tired, It's 5:35 in the morning now) the pictures but it was just weird. He was down by the shore and they had to move him so the water wouldn't get to him so they dragged him away from the shoreline and his body left this imprint in the sand and they left his right arm above his head. I dunno. I just found it extremely...oh, God, I hate this using this word--inspiring or whatever you'd like to call it--eye-opening. The dead guy must have been laid there for an hour or more waiting for all the people to be done with him--police, photographer, coroner, detective. So, I just began to wonder what it would be like to be that person, just waiting to get put in a body bag. Waiting to be dragged away from prying eyes.

I must say: I do not condone suicide. It's a person's choice, in my opinion, what they do with their life even if that means end it but it should be a rational decision. It shouldn't happen in a fit of sadness over a breakup or something silly and superficial like that and help should be sought.

Anyways, I may post the link to the video when I'm less tired.

Cheers!

P.S. The wind is blowing very strongly and it's very cold out and rainy (maybe sleet-y). I'm kind of scared the house will blow over!

It's been too long...

Really. Since I've had a drink. And it feels nice.
So...

I'm thinking about stopping school. Not quitting but stopping. It's making me absolutely miserable. I feel so much better when I think of the end (of school). I'll finish another semester and take the classes I need. I think I might explore a bit. Try out graphic design. Other than that, let's face it: I'm not smart enough but I'm not stupid. I'm only smart when I'm passionate and...I'm not passionate about school. I'm passionate about some classes because I actually care and want to put forth the effort (basically just Creative Writing). Well. We'll see.

Everything will be fine.

I've used that mantra every time things have gone bad. And guess what? Everything was fine. I am still alive and I'm still learning.

Other than that, I'm really happy Obama won.

Now. I'm gonna browse the internet some. Maybe think about my homework, maybe make some icons and enjoy the rest of my liqueur lemonade (with the ' over the top like Ryan did on The Office when Dwight came back and they were supposed to have a fiesta for Oscar and he was supposed to Mexican-ize the lemonade). Cheers!

I'm finally getting happier about my work situation.

I'm reading Gonzo by Jann Wenner about Hunter S. Thompson. It is lots o' laughs.

I am at school way too early.

I think I'll finish some homework even though I have an hour and fifteen minutes after my first class (Yay for cancelled classes!).

Boo for no electricity. Four days and counting.
